Business notebook with long runtimes. Skylake, DDR4, M.2-SSD – Dell updates its Latitude 15 E5570. You still get a very good keyboard, simple maintenance as well as a docking port, and Dell also managed to improve the battery runtimes.

The Dell Latitude E5570 is an excellent business all-rounder leaving little room for improvement while offering even better hardware than its predecessor. In short – definitely worth the upgrade. Nonetheless, Dell has kept the main key selling points of the notebook from the last generation – excellent build quality, low weight, thin profile, comfortable keyboard and good touchpad performance making it on par Acer’s alternative

So, what are my conclusions about the E5570? My eyes love the extra size of the display and the quality is also excellent. My ears love the zero fan noise under light usage conditions. Overall performance feels more responsive due to the quad-core CPU. The high capacity battery provides 10 hours, maybe more, of light usage thanks to the relatively low power consumption of the CPU. Lastly, the E5570 is heavier than I would like but a large screen and high capacity battery inherently add weight.

Dell’s Latitude 3570 is your perfect fit if you are looking for a decent and relatively business solution that focuses on endurance. That’s, of course, if you opt for the model with the bigger battery. There are some sacrifices that you need to make along the way like questionable build quality, less than average display quality, although input devices are kind of okay.

On the other hand, the system's chunky design means it's not very commuter-friendly in practice. Plus, its shallow keyboard just isn't very comfortable to type on, and its display is a bit on the dull side. If you're willing to pay a bit more, consider Lenovo's ThinkPad T460, which offers a nicer keyboard, a more vibrant display and a sleeker design for about $300 more. Budget-minded workers, however, should at least give the Latitude 15 3000 a look.

Ultimately, the Latitude 15 7520 offers a great feel. The rubberized texture on the Carbon Fiber model is super satisfying on the hands, and the weight of just over 1.5 kilos is great for a 15-incher. It shows decent performance, which is more notable in graphically intensive load, rather than sheer computational power. In addition to that, you get good input devices and an optional touchscreen display. Of course, not everything is fun and games, as you don’t have any kind of memory expansion. You are stuck with what you get the device in the first place, so in our opinion – the 16GB option should be the bare minimum. Other than that, the laptop is fast, secure, lightweight, and feels premium. If none of the few disadvantages doesn’t bother you, then purchasing this device won’t be a bad choice.

The Latitude 9520 convertible replaces the 10th gen Comet Lake-U CPU series on last year's model with newer 11th gen Tiger Lake-U options. Users are getting significantly faster graphics as a result, but performance isn't as steady as we had hoped.

The Dell Latitude 9520 has a lot going for it, I love its curb appeal, sturdy design, quality display and above-average audio performance. It’s a good everyday productivity, document pushing mainstream business laptop that can handle what most users will throw at it and give you all day plus battery life. However, at $2,803 (as reviewed) its middling benchmark results would have me researching my options and comparing my needs versus my wants. If your work requires more performance you do have the option to upgrade, but it will cost you. I do like the 9520 but, if you need more substance than style, I would shop around and check out our Best Business laptops page. I want to love the Dell Latitude but, its test results make me a little wary.

We'd like the Latitude 9520 2-in-1 a lot more if it cost $500 less, or if there were a 4K screen option for the convertible model. As is, it reminds us of other Latitude 9000 models that make us lean toward Dell's XPS series—it falls sort of awkwardly between 14-inch business laptops that are lighter (2.5 pounds or less) and 15.6- and 16-inch desktop replacements that offer faster performance or OLED displays or other deluxe features. It'll hit the sweet spot for some buyers, but most of the rest will be satisfied with less-expensive 14-inchers in the Latitude 7000 series, of which the Latitude 7420 is our current top pick.

Dell: Dell is a U.S. manufacturer (based in Texas) of computer hardware founded in 1984 and is one of the largest international manufacturers in terms of both market share and notebook models. Its product line includes desktops, notebooks, storage systems, monitors, servers, printers, consumer electronics and peripherals. Dell offers laptops that are suitable for various applications, such as business laptops, gaming laptops, ultra portables and workstations. Dell's business laptops from the Latitude and Precision series are an option for professional users and businesses.
In 2023, Dell had an approximate 17% market share of global PC sales, ranking #3 after Lenovo and HP.
For gaming enthusiasts, Dell's Alienware brand is for gaming notebooks.

Intel HD Graphics 520: Integrated GPU (GT2) with 24 EUs found on some Skylake CPU models (15 W ULV series).
AMD Radeon R7 M360: Entry level to mid range dedicated GPU based on a new GCN 2.0 / 1.2 chip in 28nm. Supports DirectX 12, Vulcan and FreeSync.
Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

Intel Core i5:
6300U: Skylake-based ULV dual-core processor for thin notebooks and ultrabooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 520 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.
Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.

Intel Tiger Lake:
i7-1165G7: An upper mid-range, quad-core processor of Tiger Lake product family. The i7 is designed for use in ultra-light (yet actively cooled) laptops; it is manufactured on Intel's third-gen 10 nm process marketed as SuperFin. The CPU cores run at 2.8 GHz (base clock speed @ 28 W TDP) to 4.7 GHz (single-core Boost frequency). This i7 features the 96 EU Intel Iris Xe G7 iGPU; it was the second-fastest CPU of TGL-UP3 line-up when Intel initially launched the series in 2020.
i7-1185G7: Tiger Lake based low power quad-core processor for thin and light laptops. The four cores clock around 3 - 4.8 GHz. Produced on the second-gen 10 nm Intel process.

15.00:
15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

72.32%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
