Reviews for the Dell G15 5510-Y4V8G
Source: Tech Nave

As for charging the laptop, it typically takes around 2 hours to achieve a full charge. However, if you’re constantly on the move, you would have to lug around the huge power adapter, which is a turn-off for some. With all that being said, our variant of the Dell G15 gaming laptop priced at RM4849 certainly gets the job done for gaming and general productivity workloads. If you like the design of the Dell G15 but want something cheaper, you can opt for the GTX 1650 variant that’s priced at RM3849 instead. Alternatively, you could opt for the ASUS TUF F15, which comes with an Intel Core i7-11800H processor, up to an RTX 3060, and 144Hz display from the price of RM4199. If you want a laptop that has both the looks and the performance, then the ASUS Zephyrus G14, priced from RM4799, would be a better candidate.

Dell G15 5510
Dell G15 5510 is a 15-inch laptop that offers a balanced combination of a six-core processor and 4GB graphics card. It is an affordable gaming laptop that is designed for both work and gaming. Like most budget gaming notebooks, the Dell G15 5510 has an average display. While black levels and contrast ratios are decent for a laptop with an IPS panel (0.24cd/m² and 1,200:1, respectively), brightness and color space leave room for improvement. The average brightness of 264cd/m² makes it a little difficult to read under environmental lighting. Meanwhile, there's nothing to complain about when it comes to viewing angles. The viewing angles are pleasantly stable. The Core i5-10500H and GeForce RTX 3050 put the Dell G15 in the midrange. 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage are also standard on budget gaming rigs. The performance of the CPU remains fairly stable, even over long periods of time. The preinstalled Alienware Command Center lets users adjust dozens of system settings. As for the operating system, the Dell G15 5510 comes with Windows 11.
Dell is more aggressive when it comes to graphics cards. 95 watts of TGP including dynamic boost is a very high number for an RTX 3050, which requires 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM. As long as the RTX 3050 isn't used for ray tracing or resolutions over 1,920x1,080, the DirectX 12 model is more than capable enough to run the latest games at high to maximum detail. Battery life isn't bad at all. Although the 56Wh capacity is rather limited, the G15 5510 lasts for over 11 hours under ideal conditions. Users can expect around 6 hours in real-world scenarios, like browsing the web over Wi-Fi. As for input and output, there is three USB 2.0 (Type-A) port, a gigabyte ethernet port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type-C, DisplayPort) and a HDMI 2.0 port. In conclusion, the Dell G15 5510 is a laptop that is average in all aspects. It is designed to have stable performance rather than standing out among the competitors. This 15-inch laptop comes with an average display and hardware specifications. It is suitable for entry level users such as students, or more casual users for web-browsing or media consumption.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
