Dell Alienware M17x R3 Specs Leaked

Teaser
Expect a range of Sandy Bridge powered fierce laptops from Dell this CES

As we all have been seeing, as we approach CES 2011 things are quite getting heated up. Now we bring to you yet another report on a launch that is going to take place in the January 2011 event in Las Vegas. The machine in concern is the Dell Alienware M17x R3 laptop and it would be a revision of the already existing Dell Alienware M17x laptop.

It is rumored that there will be three different systems in this range. The prime upgrade in this revision would be the inclusion of the Sandy Bridge chipset and the latest in-line and yet unreleased Intel Core Sandy Bridge processors, as has been the norm with most other laptops to be unveiled in the upcoming CES event. Talking of the three different systems, we have one powered by the Intel Core i7-2630QM 2.0GHz quad-core processor and Intel GMA HD graphics. Another is equipped with an Intel Core i7-2720QM clocked at 2.20GHz with AMD Radeon HD 6900M dedicated graphics. The third system is packed in with the 2.3GHz Intel Core i7-2820QM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M dedicated graphics. Test figures under evaluation by the 3DMark06 software have also been known to be 15940, 20155 and 16,957 points.

Other specs of these machines are yet unknown and would only be clear at the CES 2011 event. We can’t wait for this beasty device to be unveiled now! And we just hope that we also get fiercer specs in the form of memory, storage and display for these machines, after all these are high-performance Alienware laptops we’re talking about.
