Alright, so here’s some more good news coming for you performance notebook buffs from the Dell stable. Rumor mills come home with the news that that Dell will soon launch the Dell XPS 17 L702x 17-inch entertainment laptop, thus replacing the recently launched L701x. The upcoming model is more of an update over the existing model than being a completely revised or new model.
Talking of the hardware, the XPS 17 L702x has a 17-inch display with options for powering the display with multi-touch and 3D capabilities. You also get Nvidia’s Optimus switchable graphics technology with the GeForce GT 440M 1GB or GT450M 3GB video cards, and up to a whooping 16GB of DDR3 RAM! We expect the updated model to come packed with Intel Core “Sandy Bridge” processors, as is the case with all other new Dell models that we are talking about which are replacing existing models.
Sadly there are no indications of pricing or availability as of yet.
