House Flipper 2 is the refreshed sequel to the popular renovation sim by Frozen District. Set in the picturesque coastal town of Pinnacove, players take on the role of renovation pros, transforming neglected properties into charming homes. From the first inspection to the final sale, everything is in your hands – repairing, cleaning, painting, furnishing and flipping each house for profit.
New to the sequel is the sandbox mode, which lets you build homes from the ground up – foundations, walls, roof and all the interior details. For added realism, players can assemble furniture and decorations by hand. Thanks to a free co-op DLC, up to four players can team up in either story or sandbox mode, with full cross-platform support across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Reviews: Meditative and atmospheric, but lacking in detail
In its review, German outlet PCGames gave House Flipper 2 a positive verdict. Testers praised the renovation simulator for its calming gameplay, calling it almost therapeutic – tidying, renovating and decorating turn into a meditative experience. With carefully crafted houses, charming details and playful touches, it creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Still, the game isn't without its flaws. According to PCGames, the menus – especially in sandbox mode – can feel cluttered and confusing. While this mode promises creative freedom, it often comes across as clunky and unintuitive in practice. Tasks like painting or cleaning windows tend to feel more mechanical than engaging, more like using a basic fill tool than crafting something by hand. House Flipper 2 earned a test score of 7/10 from PCGames. On Metacritic, it holds a Metascore of 79 and a User Score of 7.5. Over 10,000 Steam users have reviewed the game so far, with 84% giving it a positive rating.
