76.2% Chuwi at its Best: Chuwi MiniBook Netbook Review | Notebookcheck
The Chuwi MiniBook is surprisingly a well-balanced and versatile netbook with its respectable system performance, bright 1080p touchscreen, and selection of ports. The unorthodox keyboard layout and twitchy mouse button will take some getting used to.
60% Chuwi MiniBook Review: Big potential with small problems
Source: Slashgear English Archive.org version
As with any unconventional device, the biggest question that will come to consumers’ minds is “why”. After all, for $500, the starting price of the Core m3 configuration with 8 GB RAM, you could probably get a more powerful laptop that’s more comfortable to type on. You won’t, however, be able to find a laptop of that price that you can drop in a small bag or big purse, definitely not one that can outperform even cheaper notebooks running on Intel Celerons and Pentiums.

80% Chuwi MiniBook 8: The Netbook Makes a Comeback?
Source: Make Use Of English Archive.org version
For most people, a single question can help you determine whether you should buy the Chuwi MiniBook 8″: How important is a small size for you? If mobility is your number one concern, getting used to the cramped keyboard and less-than-perfect mouse replacement won’t be a waste of your time. That said, it may be tough to come to terms with the price. Considering the power that’s packed into its tiny frame, this computer isn’t overpriced. It just feels like it should cost less than it does, given the small size. Given the lower price of other Chuwi computers like the excellent 14.1-inch Lapbook, the price feels even more like an anomaly.

70% Chuwi Minibook 2-in-1 laptop review
Source: Techradar English Archive.org version
The Chuwi MiniBook 2-in-1 laptop is an engineering feat but probably not what we’d call a productivity champion. It will get heads to turn but you will definitely get more done on a traditional laptop. The keyboard and pointing device are simply not good or comfortable enough.

Chuwi:

Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.

Intel UHD Graphics 600: Integrated low-end graphics adapter with DirectX 12 support, which can be found in some ULV SoCs from the Gemini Lake series. Compared to the HD Graphics 500, the 600 offers improved display outputs. Compared to the faster UHD Graphics 605, the 600 offers less shaders at lower clock speeds.

Intel UHD Graphics 615: Integrated graphics card in some Amber Lake Y-series processors (5 Watt TDP) with 24 EUs (GT2) and no dedicated graphics memory. Clocks with up to 1000 MHz depending on the CPU Model.

Intel UHD Graphics (Jasper Lake 24 EU): Integrated graphics card in Intel Jasper Lake Celeron mid range models based on the Gen. 11 architecture. Offers 24 of the 32 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model ranging from 350 MHz base to 900 MHz boost. The Jasper Lake chips are produced in the 10nm process at Intel produced (similar to Ice Lake).

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Intel UHD Graphics 24EUs (Alder Lake-N): Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake-h SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 24 of the 32 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock speed depends on the processor model. Only suited for very low demanding games.

Intel Gemini Lake:

Celeron N4100: Low power quad-core SoC from the Gemini Lake series for inexpensive notebooks. Runs with clocks between 1.1-2.4 GHz and integrates a DirectX 12 capable graphics adapter.

Celeron J4125: Low power quad-core SoC from the Gemini Lake series for inexpensive mini PCs. Runs with clocks between 2 - 2.7 GHz and integrates a DirectX 12 capable graphics adapter. The TDP is specified at 10 Watt.

Intel Amber Lake:

m3-8100Y: Extremely efficient ULV-SoC (System-on-a-Chip) for tablets and fanless notebooks based on the Amber Lake architecture which is basically a Kaby Lake chip produced in the  improved 14nm+ process (no 14nm++) with higher clock speeds and 5 Watt TDP. Includes two CPU cores clocked at 1.1-3.4 GHz with Hyper Threading support as well as a graphics adapter.

Intel Jasper Lake:

Celeron N5100: Low power quad-core SoC from the Jasper Lake series for inexpensive notebooks. Runs with clocks between 1.1 - 2.8 GHz and integrates a DirectX 12 capable graphics adapter with 24 EUs and up 800 MHz. The CPU cores are smaller and slower than in the Core CPUs (e.g. Ice Lake) but manufactured in the same 10nm process.

Intel Alder Lake-N:

N100: Alder-Lake-N based mobile CPU with 4 efficient cores (Gracemont) with 1 - 3.4 GHz. The TDP is specified at only 6 Watt.

8.00:

Large smartphones and a few small tablets are available for this display size. Unlike most smartphones, you can see more on the screen, more details and use larger resolutions. Such formats are better for people with defective vision. However, such devices are no longer easy to fit in a pocket, and they are probably not quite light either.

13.00:

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.

The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

72.24%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
