Deal | Cheapest RTX 4070 gaming laptop is back on sale as Asus TUF F15 drops to $999
Gaming laptops with Nvidia's sought-after RTX 4070 graphics card usually start at around $1,300 these days, which makes them unattainable for gamers who can't spend a four-digit sum on their new gaming machine. Fortunately, the Asus TUF F15 is one of the very few exceptions which has already dropped below the psychologically important $1,000 mark.
A few months after a similarly enticing deal at Best Buy, the mid-range Asus TUF F15 configuration with an Intel Core i7-12700H Alder Lake CPU and said Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 with 8GB VRAM is back on sale at Micro Center, this time for $999 including free store pickup where stock permits. Shipping is available for a $20 fee.
This SKU of the cheapest RTX 4070 gaming laptop also comes with 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD, while the 300-nit IPS display of the Asus TUF F15 has a regular 1080p resolution but surprisingly covers the entire sRGB color space. With a high refresh rate of 144Hz, this gaming laptop is also well-suited for fast-paced shooters.
However, prospective owners should be aware that the Asus TUF F15 is a fairly heavy 15-inch notebook that weighs almost 5 lbs. In the end, the price-performance ratio is certainly the main argument for this RTX 4070 gaming laptop as it is hundreds of dollars cheaper than competing products such as the MSI Katana, which currently sells for $1,300 on Amazon. Therefore, gamers who can live with the unimpressive but still adequate Full-HD display might want to take the Asus TUF F15 into consideration.
