Casio's new light G-Steel watches with Tough Solar and Bluetooth go on sale

The Casio GST-B1000

The Casio GST-B1000 series gets the same case as the two lineups released before that.
Casio's resin-band G-Steel GST-B1000-1AJF and GST-B1000-2AJF left preorder and are now on sale in Japan at ¥60,500 (~$382). At 58 grams, they weigh half the metal versions, share the same case, Tough Solar and Bluetooth.

Casio's resin-band G-Steel has also cleared its preorder window, alongside the Oceanus and Edifice models. The GST-B1000-1AJF and GST-B1000-2AJF are now available for direct purchase on Casio Japan's store at ¥60,500 each, roughly $382, after opening for reservation at the start of August.

The pair completes a three-tier structure Casio has assembled on one platform in under a year. The bracelet GST-B1000D arrived in November 2025 at ¥66,000. A full black IP version, the GST-B1000BD, followed on June 5 at ¥75,900. This resin edition is more affordable than both these aforementioned models while sharing their architecture.

The answer costs 60 grams. Both metal versions weigh 118 grams; this one, with a bio-based resin band, drops the total to 58. Everything else stays the same: the 46.9 × 44.2 × 11.6 mm case, the carbon fiber-reinforced resin core, the metal bezel guarding it, and 200 meters of water resistance.

The dial has a brick pattern lifted from the DW-5000C, the 1983 original, beneath a logo-free bezel. The -1AJF runs black on black. The -2AJF has a dark metallic blue dial with a matching band — the same blue as the GST-B1000BD-2A, not the paler shade that circulated in May's leaked renders.

Tough Solar takes care of charging. Bluetooth links to the Casio Watches app for automatic time correction, watch configuration and a phone finder, with a 24-hour subdial at 3 o'clock.

Just like the other models in this cycle, Casio has not announced US or European availability for the resin pair, so don't rely on Japanese pricing too much. For reference, the bracelet GST-B1000D goes for $440 in the US, which would put the resin version near $400 on comparable margins — though that is inference, not a figure Casio has given.
