Casio releases two new slimmer G-Shock digital watches

Two new Casio G-Shock digital watches have been released. The GMD-S5610-1 and the GMD-S5610-7 are described as “slimmer, more compact” watches with a sporty look. Uncharacteristically, these products have launched in Europe before they are available in the brand’s home market of Japan.
Casio’s G-Shock GMD-S5610 watch is a rectangular digital model showing the time in a 12 or 24 hour format. Also displayed on the screen are the date and the day of the week. Features of the watch include a 1/100th second stopwatch, an up to 24 hour countdown timer, hourly time signals and a multifunctional alarm. An LED backlight ensures you can always read the display, and the calendar is fully automatic to the year 2099.
Both the GMD-S5610 watches have green accents like an outer dial ring and the word G-Shock. The GMD-S5610-1 has a black resin casing and strap, while the GMD-S5610-7 has a white case and band. This model measures 45.7 x 40.5 x 11.9 mm (~1.80 x 1.60 x 0.47 inches) and weighs 42 g (~1.48 oz). Plus, these shock resistant watches are water resistant to 200 m.
The Casio G-Shock GMD-S5610-1 and GMD-S5610-7 watches have been listed on the brand’s websites in countries like the Netherlands, Spain and France. Here, they can be purchased for €109.00 each. They are expected to be released in Japan later in November 2026, and they could also arrive in the UK this month with an RRP of £80.00. However, whether or when these watches will be released in the US remains to be seen.
