Valve restocked the Steam Deck OLED hours before both the 512GB and 1TB models sold out again. The restock came alongside a significant price increase: the 512GB model rose from $549 to $789, while the 1TB variant climbed $300 to $949.

If you were hoping to get your hands on a Steam Deck OLED, you’re officially out of luck again. Hours after Valve finally restocked the hotly anticipated handheld console, the 512GB and 1TB models are completely sold out.

This follows Valve's announcement of a massive price increase on the consoles. The 512GB went from $549 to $789, while the 1TB model got an even more dramatic price hike of $300 to $949. In a brief update, Valve addressed the sudden spike, stating the underlying hardware has not changed at all.

Instead, the company attributed the extreme markups to the current state of component costs, namely, serious memory and NAND flash shortages, as well as broader global logistical challenges currently facing the entire tech industry.
