Amazon has dropped the price of the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar by 22% to $699, a $200 savings off the MSRP of $899.00. The soundbar reproduces immersive Dolby Atmos sound using nine speakers inside a slim enclosure.

The soundbar leverages TrueSpace spatial processing and AI Dialogue enhancement to create an immersive sound environment from non-Atmos content while ensuring all dialogue can be understood more clearly, according to Bose.

Rtings finds the Smart Ultra Soundbar can produce a wide soundstage and loud volumes, but lacks low bass reproduction under 50 Hz. The latter can be addressed later by connecting the soundbar to an optional Bose Bass Module subwoofer, such as the Bose Bass Module 700 sold on Amazon, which can reproduce frequencies as low as 20 Hz, according to specs. This flexibility allows the system to grow with its owners as they move from tiny apartments to spacious homes.

The soundbar can be connected to any television or video source that has an HDMI output. It can also stream audio over Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and Wi-Fi. The soundbar can be controlled using Alexa or Google voice assistants.

The Bose Smart Soundbar measures 2.29 x 41.14" x 4.21 inches (5.8 x 104.5 x 10.7 cm) and weighs 12.68 pounds (5.75 kg). This allows the speaker to fit comfortably in front of TVs.
