Belkin’s newly announced ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Display Adapter enables users to cast 1080p video up to 40 meters without relying on Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Set for a Q1 2026 release at $149.99, the device uses a plug-and-play USB-C transmitter and HDMI receiver system compatible with most modern laptops and tablets.

Belkin has just announced the ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Display Adapter at CES 2026. This new adapter eliminates the common frustration of connecting devices to distant screens by creating a direct link that bypasses the need for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The adapter uses a USB-C transmitter for your source device and an HDMI receiver for the display to establish a peer-to-peer 5GHz connection capable of beaming content across rooms.

Setting up the connection requires no driver installation or complex software, as the receiver simply needs power from a nearby USB-A port to begin mirroring or extending your screen immediately. Video transmission remains sharp and synchronized for most professional needs, delivering 1080p resolution at 60Hz with latency measuring under 80 milliseconds. The adapter is widely compatible, as it supports any USB-C device capable of DisplayPort Alt Mode, including Windows laptops, MacBooks, Chromebooks, and the latest iPad models.

The device works independently of ecosystem-specific protocols like AirPlay or Google Cast, making it a universal connection method for any supported hardware, regardless of the operating system.

The adapter can also wirelessly cast over a range of up to 131 feet (40 meters) and works even through walls, although physical obstructions may naturally impact signal strength. Shared spaces such as conference rooms can benefit from the multi-user feature, which allows up to eight transmitters to pair with a single receiver for quick switching between presenters. Belkin plans to release the adapter in select markets during the first quarter of 2026 with a retail price of $149.99.
