The SoundForm Surround are now available. Although Belkin’s official asking price stands at $40, they are already on sale with a 15% launch discount, which results in a budget-friendly price of $34. Evidently, the SoundForm Surround are rather basic headphones, which means that they're not specifically designed for gamers or audiophiles.
Consequently, there's no mention of low latency or high-fidelity audio via lossless codecs such as LHDC. However, these Belkin headphones support Bluetooth 5.4 Multipoint and can connect to two devices at the same time, which is practical for quickly switching between a smartphone and tablet. Furthermore, the SoundForm Surround can be connected via a 3.5mm jack. These over-ears offer a battery life of up to 60 hours when listening to music, or up to 35 hours when making phone calls. The integrated battery can be recharged via USB Type-C.
Noise cancellation for ambient noise during phone calls is available, which means that the other end of the line will understand users more clearly. That said, proper active noise cancellation is not supported. These wireless headphones are equipped with 40mm drivers and physical buttons for adjusting volume and pausing playback. Belkin further asserts that the SoundForm Surround (AUD009) are partly made from recycled plastic, while their packaging is entirely plastic-free. Last but not least, the headphones are being offered in three different color variants.
