Deal | Baseus 65 W PD GaN3 wall charger now on sale for $43 USD
Amazon is currently holding a sale on the Baseus 65 W GaN3 wall charger for 15 percent off the original price of $50 USD. The charger is notable for its 4 USB ports (2x USB-A + 2x USB-C) capable of outputting up to 65 W total to fast-charge compatible smartphones, tablets, and other USB devices.
The GaN3 charger is different from the original GaN charger that was on sale a month earlier by its omission of wall outlets. Consequently, the Gan3 charger is smaller, lighter, and less expensive without impacting the power output of the four USB ports. A look at the back of our GaN3 unit shows similar power values as the back of the larger GaN model.
It's important to keep in mind that the 65 W output is shared between all ports. Each of the two USB-C ports can utilize the full 65 W as advertised, but this will be shared between multiple devices if multiple devices are attached. If you want to charge a USB-C laptop as quickly as you can, for example, then you will not want to charge any other devices on the GaN3 charger simultaneously.
Baseus sent us a sample for our impressions and we are again impressed by the build quality of the product. The housing is small at just 66.8 x 39.9 x 36.8 mm, the cord length is long at 1.6 meters, and the entire unit with cord weighs only 257 g. It's too bad that the cord cannot be disconnected from the main housing if users wanted to swap out shorter or longer cords for added versatility.
