US-based BLU Products unveiled the Vivo 6 handset last month. Just as expected, this is an unlocked Android device with mid-range specs, a premium design, and competitive pricing. Starting today, this 5.5-inch smartphone can be purchased in the UK. Even better, a special Black Friday deal is also available for those who acquire it today.

BLU Vivo 6 is powered by a Mediatek Helio P10 processor, next to 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, and microSD support. The main camera uses a 13 MP Sony IMX258 sensor with 1080p video shooting and Phase Detection autofocus, while the front selfie snapper offers 8 MP. Available in gold and rose gold, the Vivo 6 also features a fingerprint reader (placed on the Home button), is powered by a 3,130 mAh battery, and runs Android Marshmallow.

Today, the handset can be purchased from Amazon UK for £184.99 GBP - roughly $230 USD. Tomorrow, the regular price of £239.99 GBP ($299 USD) kicks in.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
