The TUF Dash F15 is an interesting offering by ASUS. Our review model comes with a price tag of S$2,198, and the most apt way for me to describe it is a high-end notebook in the budget-level category. And I say this with a tinge of fondness because I don't think there's another competitive notebook in the market now that offers a good balance between performance and portability. The TUF F15 is easy to carry around, has an impressive battery life, decent gaming performance, great productivity performance and actually feels kind of premium too. It's a decent gaming notebook at best, so if you're looking for high-end gaming performance then there are obviously better, and more expensive, choices. But if these don't matter, then the ASUS TUF Dash F15 could make for a worthy mobile gaming companion for you.

I've never looked at the TUF series with disdain (God bless me) but I've always thought that past TUF models' designs were too unrefined for my liking. The TUF F15 though, has got my attention. It's not without its weak points though.

It's not without its weak points though. For one, the lack of a built-in webcam is a serious compromise especially in today's widespread work-or-study-from-home practices.

While the laptop features a Thunderbolt 4 port that can act as an external display port and provide type-c fast charging, it doesn’t come bundled with the fast charging adapter (purchased separately) and comes with the default 200W AC power adapter for power instead. It is weird ASUS did not include the fast-charging adaptor as an optional add-on for the package. With its AC power adapter, however, the laptop took about 1 hour 40 minutes to charge from 0% to full. All in all, the TUF Dash F15 has an extreme portability superiority over its competitor’s thanks to its durability, performance and lightweight design. If there was one portable system you need as a travelling companion, the TUF Dash F15 is no doubt one of the market’s best options right now.

The ASUS TUF Dash F15 has certainly met our key expectations of an all-rounder notebook computer that’s suitable for today’s work from home environment. It also showcases the improvements to notebook technology with today’s latest hardware components, particularly the 11th Gen Intel Core H-series processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti. Its modernized design with less focus on “gaming” pretentiousness makes it suitable for any kind of usage environment, be it for work or play. It’s also considerably portable at 2Kg and even has a decent battery life. The only gripe we had with this notebook is the lack of a built-in webcam, which is essential for many remote work and learning use cases today. It’s rare to see a notebook computer that strikes a balance between performance, design, portability and price.

The TUF Dash F15 is a well-balanced package, ticking the right boxes when it comes to the design, build, inputs, connectivity, everyday performance, and thermals/noise levels. The Tiger Lake H35 and RTX 3050Ti configuration is also a lot better balanced and more affordable than the higher-tier variants, and the best suited for this chassis, but Asus might have just nailed this product for some of you with their inadequate 144 Hz panel, which could be a deal-breaker in this day and age. We'll get in-depth on all these aspects in the detailed review down below.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
