The Asus ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG) QD-OLED gaming monitor, featuring a 26.5-inch screen diagonal, a blazing-fast 360 Hz refresh rate, and QHD resolution, is now enjoying a notable price cut on Amazon. The OLED gaming monitor also brings Nvidia G-Sync support and a 0.03 ms response time.

OLED gaming monitors have gone mainstream over the last two years. From Dell to MSI, PC monitor manufacturers have started offering a range of choices at both the mid-range and flagship price points. Asus also offers a range of different OLED gaming monitors, including the ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG) QD-OLED.

The Asus ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG) was released last year at Computex 2024 with a 26.5-inch QD-OLED panel. Boasting a refresh rate of 360 Hz and 1440p resolution, the monitor is geared towards gamers on the hunt for a mid-range OLED gaming monitor that doesn’t break the bank. Per Rtings, the Asus ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG) is an outstanding gaming monitor with only a few minor downsides. As such, the QD-OLED monitor is a great choice for both console and PC gamers, and you can now get it at a nice discount.

Amazon is currently offering the 26.5-inch Asus ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG) for just $649.99 instead of the usual $759.99 list price. According to camelcamelcamel, the ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG) OLED monitor has only been cheaper once, at $629, making the current price cut an excellent opportunity to snag the monitor.

Before we look at the qualities of the display, let’s quickly see who should steer clear of the Asus ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG).

For starters, folks who need a PC monitor with stellar brightness, this isn’t it. Per Rtings, the ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG), while it has solid SDR brightness, doesn’t do so well in HDR.

Moreover, if you are planning to use your gaming monitor for extensive office work, there are better choices than the Asus ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG). The monitor suffers from text clairty and color fringing issues due to the underlying Pixel Matrix. Then, there is the risk of OLED burn-in.

As we reported in a recent article, using your OLED gaming monitor for long periods of productivity work with static elements on screen can cause visible burn-in. So, an IPS or a miniLED panel is more suitable for a productivity monitor.

However, if you’ll be using your OLED monitor mostly for gaming and media consumption, then OLED burn-in is practically not an issue. Asus also offers a 3-year warranty and packs several burn-in-reducing features in the monitor for added peace of mind.

So, for gamers, the Asus ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG) is fantastic. Rtings' review rated the monitor at 9.2 and 9.1 for PC Gaming and Console Gaming, respectively. These high scores are due to the monitor's inky deep blacks, low input lag, accurate colors, complete sRGB/DCI-P3 coverage, and a 360 Hz refresh rate. The  ROG Strix (XG27ACDNG) also features a quick response time and complete PS5/Xbox Series console support.
