Asus PadFone S2 could be coming March 2016
Recent speculation suggests that the Asus PadFone S2 will succeed the PadFone 2 and could be one of the first devices to carry a Snapdragon 820 SoC. In comparison, the original smartphone-tablet hybrid launched roughly one year ago and carries a Snapdragon 801.
Other specifications for a possible PadFone S2 include a 5.5-inch 2K display, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage, and a 3060 mAh battery. The rear and front cameras are expected to be 21 MP and 8 MP, respectively.
Of course, it wouldn't be a PadFone without the tablet dock. The PadFone S2 should come with a similar 10.1-inch tablet dock as the original PadFone with a built-in 5100 mAh battery. The Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) or LG G4 Pro may beat the Asus to market with a Snapdragon 820 SoC if rumors prove to be true, but we will not know for sure until official announcements begin pouring in.
