A year after unveiling the HomePod Mini, Apple has decided to give it the iMac treatment by throwing in some new colour variants. The pint-sized smart speaker is now available in yellow, orange, and blue colour variants on top of the existing space grey and white. It'll still retail for US$99 a pop, and the new colour variants are up for grabs now on Apple's website.
Apple has also made Apple Music a tad more affordable by adding a new subscription tier called Apple Music Voice, which costs US$4.99 per month. Essentially, it'll let you access the entirety of the Apple Music catalogue, but only via Siri. To get started, one needs to say, "Hey Siri, start my Apple Music Voice trail." or sign up via the Apple Music app.
It is worth noting that Apple Music Voice subscribers will not have access to features such as Spatial Audio and Lossless Audio, Lyrics, Music Videos. They do, however, get a 'personalized' experience based on their listening habits and a dedicated 'Just Ask Siri' section in the app that will walk them through helping Siri find better content. The service will be available in select regions later this year.
