Apple Watch Series 10: Leaked CAD images reveal larger display than Apple Watch Ultra but minimal design changes
Apple likely remains a few months off from unveiling its next batch of smartwatches. Given the timing of its Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 (curr. $646.94 - refurbished on Amazon) announcements, it seems that Apple will hold out until September before presenting successors. Nonetheless, there have been numerous rumours about the Watch Series 10 and Watch Ultra 3 of late, most recently courtesy of analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
Now, 91mobiles claims to have received CAD files relating to the Watch Series 10, images of which we have embedded below. Contrary to previous expectations, Apple's next smartwatch closely resembles the existing Watch Series 9. Specifically, the Watch Series 10 retains its predecessor's digital crown, side button and speaker placement, along with an identical quick change strap system.
However, the next Apple Watch has grown to 46 x 39.7 x 11.6 mm. Consequently, the Watch Series 10 is approximately 1 mm longer, 1.7 mm wider and 1 mm thicker than its 45 mm predecessor. With that being said, reduced display bezels allow Apple to install a 2-inch display, an upgrade on the 1.9-inch equivalent inside the Watch Series 9 and the 1.92-inch panel found in all Watch Ultra models.
