Deal | Apple Mac Mini with Apple M2 drops to its record low price on Amazon

Apple has yet to release an update to the 2023 Mac Mini. So, before that happens, the Apple M2 Pro-powered mini computer is the best you can get in the category. Of course, if you don’t want the top-specced version, you can currently save a decent amount on the purchase.

The Apple Mac Mini with Apple M2, 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage is currently down to $479 on Amazon. This translates to a generous $120 discount from the regular $599 tag, and it’s the lowest ever for this particular configuration. So, the value doesn’t get better than this.

In our review, we noted that the 2023 Apple Mac Mini brings some advantages over the M2-powered MacBook Air or MacBook Pro 13. The mini PC brings two USB-C ports with support for Thunderbolt 4. There are two more USB-A ports, one Ethernet, and one 3.5 mm audio jack. You also get support for two external displays.

However, you need to note that the storage and RAM of the Mac Mini 2023 aren’t upgradeable. You can, of course, expand the storage with an external drive, but the memory is soldered on.

That said, when it comes to performance, our review unit with 16 GB of RAM performed similarly to the Apple M2-powered MacBook Pro 13. The 10-core GPU inside the Mac Mini can also smoothly handle graphical workloads, performing better than the well-known AMD Radeon 780M iGPU in our tests.

We also liked the overall build of the 2023 Apple Mac Mini. It comes with a high-quality case that weighs around 1.2 kg (about 2.7 lbs) and has a compact form factor. The computer’s cooling system keeps things almost always silent during regular use, with the fan kicking in only when you stress the CPU and the GPU.
