Anker teases new 20,000mAh power bank with built-in cables and added battery safety features

Just days after Xiaomi unveiled its first power bank compliant with China's new GB 47372-2026 safety standard, Anker has teased its own certified model. The upcoming device appears to be an upgraded version of the Zolo power bank (curr: $49.99 on Amazon), with the company expected to reveal more details soon.

Based on teaser images shared on Weibo, the new power bank features two built-in USB-C cables, along with USB-C and USB-A ports, allowing it to charge up to four devices simultaneously. Anker also confirms support for up to 55W fast charging through any of its three USB-C outputs, up from the 45W offered by the current Zolo power bank. Meanwhile, the USB-A port is rated for up to 33W.

Other listed specifications include a rated energy of 74Wh, which corresponds to roughly the same 20,000mAh capacity as the current Zolo power bank. Aside from the faster 55W charging speeds, Anker's biggest upgrade is compliance with China's new GB 47372-2026 national safety standard.

The regulation introduces stricter safety requirements designed to reduce battery-related fire and explosion risks, with manufacturers expected to transition their products ahead of its implementation on April 1, 2027. As for availability, Anker has yet to announce when the new 55W Zolo Power Bank will be released.
