Microsoft is currently giving away two games from indie developer Lonely Troops - one RPG and one strategy game. But gamers need to be quick. The offer is only valid for two more days.

Gamers can get two free Lonley Troops games from Microsoft until September 16. Last week, Microsoft had already given away Hero of the Kingdom II. This time, gamers can pick up the third part. On top of that, there is Romopolis, a city-building simulation that is almost retro.

Hero of the Kingdom III

The third part of Hero of the Kingdom puts players in the role of a young hero who returns to his village after a long journey, only to find that the land has been infested by an evil cult. To restore order, players must travel through villages, forests, swamps and mountains, completing numerous quests and securing resources through gathering, hunting, crafting and trading. There is no complex combat, instead the focus is on strategic planning and resource management.

On Steam, Hero of the Kingdom 3 has a mostly positive rating average - 79 percent positive ratings from over 1,000 reviews. The RPG, which was released in 2018, normally costs around $9.

Romopolis

In this city-building simulation, players take on the role of a Roman master builder and construct magnificent ancient cities. The aim of the game is to build and manage a functioning Roman settlement in various scenarios. This involves building houses, public buildings, markets and temples and meeting the needs of the population. Players take care of resource management, ensure a stable economy and increase the satisfaction of the inhabitants by providing sufficient food, entertainment and infrastructure.

Romopolis was released back in 2009 and is therefore almost a retro title. On Steam, the city-building simulation doesn't seem to have been played much - only 90 reviews, of which 78 percent are positive. Romopolis is regularly available for $5.
