Amazon leaks European and UK prices for Intel Alder Lake-S product stack, including the Core i9-12900K
Intel is expected to begin selling Alder Lake-S series processors later this month, consisting of six SKUs. However, Amazon has already posted prices for all SKUs on its Dutch, French and UK websites. Unsurprisingly, the retailer has since taken down many of the prices, although the listings remain live.
We have summarised the prices in the table below. Please note that all prices include VAT, a 21% sales tax in the Netherlands and a 20% one in France and the UK. Hence, US prices should be much lower than those shown, currency differences excluded.
|Amazon FR||Amazon NL||Amazon UK|
|Intel Core i5-12600KF||€403.96||-||-|
|Intel Core i5-12600K||€321.16||€323.83||£311.41|
|Intel Core i7-12700KF||€436.01||-||£397.13|
|Intel Core i7-12700K||€636.08||€641.38||£550.16|
|Intel Core i9-12900KF||€879.24||-||£753.30|
|Intel Core i9-12900K||€919.88||€846.92||£791.16|
The listings also report clock speeds for all six SKUs, albeit rather strange ones. Amazon states that Core i5 models have 3.7 GHz clock speeds, followed by 3.6 GHz for Core i7 ones and 3.2 GHz for the pair of Core i9 processors. Typically, Amazon listings contain Intel's Max Turbo Frequency across one core, Alder Lake's P- and E-cores complicate this somewhat. Regardless, these clock speeds do not match those rumoured for any of the six Alder Lake-S processors.
Incidentally, the listings confirm the retail packaging images that VideoCardz leaked last week. Only the Core i9-12900K will come with a decorative wafer, which also has a larger box than the Core i9-12900KF. There are no discernable differences between the K and KF boxes for Core i5 and Core i7 SKUs, mind you.
