Amazon launches Blink Mini camera with motion detection for just US$35
Amazon has launched the Blink Mini, it’s latest home security camera. The diminutive device integrates seamlessly with Amazon’s other Blink products as well as its Alex line of voice-controlled devices.
Amazon has introduced its smallest home security camera to date. The diminutive Blink Mini is a compact indoor plug-in smart security camera that can stream in 1080p FHD. It also integrates a motion sensor and can be paired with an Alex-supported screen device, either from Amazon’s own range or third parties.
The Blink Mini should be pretty straightforward to set up, requiring just a power point and the Blink app which is needed to then connect the Mini to your home Wi-Fi network. Using the same app, users can set the Mini to alert them via the app anytime motion is detected. It can be used to communicate with pets or with people, preferably family, but also would-be intruders.
The addition of a Amazon Echo device with a screen, or one from a third party with Alexa voice support also allows users to view what is on the camera within the home, or to view recordings. The Blink Mini is retailing for just US$35, or two for US$65, and will go on sale from April 15.

I have been writing about consumer technology over the past ten years, previously with the former MacNN and Electronista, and now Notebookcheck since 2017. My first computer was an Apple ][c and this sparked a passion for Apple, but also technology in general. In the past decade, I’ve become increasingly platform agnostic and love to get my hands on and explore as much technology as I can get my hand on. Whether it is Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, Nintendo, Xbox, or PlayStation, each has plenty to offer and has given me great joy exploring them all. I was drawn to writing about tech because I love learning about the latest devices and also sharing whatever insights my experience can bring to the site and its readership.
