Allview E2 Jump: waterproof smartphone priced at 140 Euro
Romanian manufacturer Allview announced today a new affordable 4.5-inch smartphone called the E2 Jump. The main highlight of this €139.00 Android smartphone is its IPx5-certified water protection. Allview announced that the E2 Jump is already available for pre-order, with a pan-European release date to follow on March 5.
The Allview E2 Jump tips the scales at 152 grams and measures 134.6 x 66.8 x 11 mm. The handset comes with a colorful plastic build that's very common for the entry level segment of the smartphone market. The remainder of the hardware specs are also pretty basic, but acceptable: customers get a 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 854 by 480 pixels, an unspecified quad-core processor running at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of integrated storage space, and a microSD reader that can work with cards of up to 32GB of in size.
In the camera department, the Allview E2 Jump comes with a 5MP primary camera and a disappointing 0.3MP secondary sensor on the front. Other specs include stereo front-facing speakers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, GPS, and a 2000 mAh battery. The E2 Jump runs Android 4.4 KitKat, with no word from the manufacturer on a possible update to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
