Alleged Xiaomi Mi 11 Geekbench scores show above 20% performance gains over the Mi 10 thanks to the 5nm Snapdragon 875
A few days ago we reported about the Geekbench 5 results for an Exynos 1000 chip, which if genuine were very promising. At the same time, a comparison of the Exynos processor with a couple of Qualcomm Snapdragon 875-powered smartphones in the forms of the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Xiaomi Mi 11 was also shared on the same Korean-language forum. It is hard to believe that someone has actually managed to already leak benchmark results for two upcoming flagships like this, but stranger things happen at sea.
Pressing on, the purported Geekbench 5 results for the Xiaomi Mi 11 with the 5nm Snapdragon 875 (as hinted at by none other than Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing) were 1,102 points in the single-core benchmark and 4,113 points in the multi-core test. If you look at our review of the Xiaomi Mi 10, you will see our Geekbench scores for that well-received smartphone were 910 points and 3,309 points for single core and multi-core, respectively.
This leaves a difference of +21.1% between the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 10 in single-core performance and an even better +24.3% improvement for the Snapdragon 875-powered Mi 11 over its SD 865-sporting predecessor. Of course, all of this should be taken with a pinch of salt, as rumors and leaks about the Mi 11, including an under-display camera solution and a possible first-quarter 2021 release, have only just started to trickle online. However, if all this ends up being accurate, then the Xiaomi Mi 11 is already beginning to look like yet another fool-proof success story for the Chinese OEM.
