Affordable Chuwi mini PC launches with entry-level Intel processor

The Chuwi LarkBox X 100U has been launched as a refreshed version of the 2023 variant of the mini PC. While the last one launched with the Intel N100, the latest model packs the Core 3 100U.
Even though the latter is a newer CPU than the Intel N100, the performance jump isn't significant. After all, the Core 3 100U is an entry-level processor, and it can mostly handle everyday tasks. The 64EU UHD iGPU makes it somewhat capable of gaming, but it won't be able to run AAA games smoothly.
On the bright side, the LarkBox X 100U should offer more than enough power for productivity workloads and media consumption. The Intel CPU is paired with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. Chuwi highlights that both the memory and storage are upgradeable, which is a plus (Samsung 990 Pro 2TB curr. $389.99 on Amazon).
While the mini PC has a compact overall form factor, there's a good number of connectivity ports, including:
- 4x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB Type-C
- 2x Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x DisplayPort 1.2
- 1x HDMI 2.1
Among the ports, the USB-C is described as a "full-featured" port, meaning that it brings DisplayPort Alt. With this, the mini PC gains triple display output support through Type-C, DisplayPort 1.2, and HDMI 2.1 ports, and Chuwi says all of them have support for 4K out.
WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, a capable cooling setup, and a sleek overall design are among the other highlights of the mini PC. Chuwi has launched the LarkBox X 100U with a discounted price tag, which is $439, and until August 04, 2026, an additional $40 can be taken off with a discount coupon. The coupon is automatically applied at checkout on the official site.
