Model: The Acer TravelMate P259-MG-549Q is designed for schools, small businesses and home offices that require efficient portable and reliable computing to meet different needs. The laptop has a rugged design for very intensive use. As a TravelMate from Acer, the 15.6-inch model meets your labour needs of everyday life through a combination of features, performance and a unique portable design that brings freshness to daily work. The laptop measures at 38.1 x 25.9 x 3 cm and weighs at 2.23 kg. Looking at the design, The P2 series incorporates a fine linen textile pattern in relief on the outer covers. Textured patterns inspired by fabrics give the laptop a bold and minimalist look and feel. This ensures a refined and professional look and feel that adds distinction to its functionality. In addition, it offers practical advantages, as the pattern facilitates a firm grip in the displacements while avoiding the scratches. The polished metal inner surface offers a pleasant writing and navigation platform to the touch and the view. Furthermore, the diamond-edged edges provide a discreet but pronounced depth of feel to the notebook's overall design. However, the color choice of this model is only limited to black.

As for hardware specification, the Acer TravelMate P259-MG-549Q features an Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, an Nvidia 940MX graphics card and a rather odd 500 GB 5400 rpm hard drive capacity. It is possible to upgrade the RAM of this laptop up to 32 GB if user favor better performance in multitasking. For screen dimensions, it features a 15.6” Active Matrix TFT Colour LCD screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. From certain user reports, the brightness is said to be rather poor for outdoor. The laptop comes with a Crystal Eye HD camera installed for convenience in video calling. The laptop has a 4 cell lithium ion 2800mAh battery, which can provide hours of battery life on the go. As for operating system, the Acer TravelMate P259-MG-549Q runs on Windows 10 Home Edition 64-bit. As for input and output ports, it is well equipped with USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 ports. There are also a HDMI and VGA port for display output. Its FineTip Keyboard and Precision TouchPad are quite good for a budget-friendly laptop. It also features a double layer DVD recorder, which is an advantage to read and burn a disc on the go. This is something unique as most laptops don't have it these days. The Acer TravelMate P259-MG-549Q is a simple laptop with good hardware and built-in optical drive, all for a very good price.

NVIDIA GeForce 940MX: Mid-range laptop graphics card based on the Maxwell architecture. Compared to the older 940M, the MX now also supports GDDR5 graphics memory and maybe slightly faster clock speeds.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

6200U: Skylake-based ULV dual-core processor for thin notebooks and ultrabooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 520 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.

The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
