Acer has launched a new gaming monitor to complement the barrage of gaming hardware it announced today. The Acer Nitro XZ452CU V has a curvature of 1500R and comes with a wide selection of I/O, including two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DP1.4 port, one USB-C port that supports 90 W fast charging, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, an RJ45 Ethernet jack.
The Acer Nitro XZ452CU V has a 44-inch 8-bit VA panel with a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz on DP, HDMI and USB-C. It has a response time of 1 ms and covers 90% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Vesa HDR400 certification allows the monitor to achieve a peak brightness of 450 nits. It isn't the brightest around, but fine for a VA panel.
Other Acer Nitro XZ452CU V specs include various eye protection features such as BlueLightShield Pro, ComfyView, and Eyesafe 2.0 certification. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro is also supported. Two in-built 3 Watt speakers are also included, along with a USN-B port that doubles up as a KVM switch. It goes on sale in October 2023 for €1,099 (US$1,205).
