The Acer Aspire Switch 12 is a versatile convertible notebook with a well-thought-out design. Users will experience an intuitive and immersive device with good functionality. The draw of the device is in the fact it can transform into 5 different modes; notebook, pad, display, tent and desktop. Elegant and streamlined, the Acer Aspire Switch 12 comes in dark grey and features a solid hinge system required for transformations. The Windows 8.1 notebook comes with a 12.5 inch Active Matrix TFT Colour LCD with IPS technology and Full HD support. Colors and contrast are superb supporting Acer's immersive claim. Hardware consist of an Intel Core M 5Y10c dual-core processor clocked at 800 MHz, 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM, Intel HD Graphics 5300 and 128 GB SSD. This configuration is pretty capable and highlights the good battery life the Acer Aspire Switch 12 is designed to have. Speaking about battery life, the device comes with a 3-cell Lithium-Ion battery rated at 3220 mAh which enables at least 6 hours of run time. Overall weight is kept light at just 3.09 lb (1.4 kg) and the device comes with Bluetooth 4.0, built-in microphone and WiFi. The Acer Aspire Switch 12 is a moderately priced device intended for users with need for multiple form factors in one device.
