AYA NEO has revealed details about AYA NEO 2 and AYA NEO GEEK refreshes. As expected, the company has introduced the AYA NEO 2S. However, it has also presented the AYA NEO GEEK 1S, less than 6 months after bringing the AYA NEO 2 and AYA NEO GEEK to Indiegogo. Unsurprisingly, the AYA NEO 2S and AYA NEO GEEK 1S share most features with their predecessors.
According to AYA NEO, it will sell both new handhelds with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 7000 APU that contains a RDNA 3-based iGPU. For now, the company has not confirmed which APUs will be present, though. Still, AYA NEO is rumoured to have chosen the likes of the regular Ryzen 7 7840U rather than the Ryzen Z1 or Ryzen Z1 Extreme. AYA NEO also suggests that it has improved cooling from the AYA NEO 2 and GEEK, although other areas like displays, batteries and designs appear unchanged.
AYA NEO hopes to launch the AYA NEO 2S and GEEK 1S on Indiegogo in mid-May, with a pre-launch occurring within the next few days. Additionally, the company is aiming to begin shipping both devices a month later, with Chinese orders set for a mid-June dispatch. By contrast, AYA NEO hopes to start fulfilling Indiegogo orders at the end of June. The company has not outlined pricing details yet, but we imagine it will do so within the next few days.
