ASUS ExpertBook B3 Detachable: Tablet debuts with a 2-in-1 design, Windows 11 Pro and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2
ASUS revealed numerous products at CES 2022, including several laptops. The company unveiled a powerful tablet with the ROG Flow Z13 too, which has a 45 W CPU and a dedicated graphics card. At the other end of the scale lies the ExpertBook B3 Detachable, another tablet powered by a Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 Compute Platform. For reference, the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 has 8 cores that can boost up to 2.55 GHz on an 8 nm process. The 7 W SoC also features a Qualcomm Adreno 618 GPU.
To date, we have only tested the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 in the Samsung Galaxy Book Go. According to ASUS, it complements the SoC with 4 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of eMMC flash storage. Additionally, the tablet has a 10.5-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 1,920 x 1,200-pixel native resolution. Also, the display peaks at 320 nits and covers 87% of the NTSC colour space. Moreover, the tablet has a 38 Wh battery in its 260 x 172 x 8.9 mm chassis, which weighs 630 g.
However, the tablet's stand and detachable keyboard bring its total carry weight to 1.047 kg. Incidentally, the keyboard has 1.5 mm of travel and optional backlighting. Meanwhile, the tablet has a USB 3.0 Type-C port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, two speakers, two microphones, a 5 MP front-facing camera and a 13 MP rear-facing one.
While ASUS has announced the ExpertBook B3 Detachable, it has not revealed the device's price. Similarly, the company has not confirmed when the ExpertBook B3 Detachable will be available or where. Based on the datasheet released so far, ASUS will sell the ExpertBook B3 Detachable in two memory configurations, one colour and with Windows 11 Home S or Windows 11 Pro.
