AMD launches Ryzen 5 5600T and 5600XT, gives AM4 a boost for under $200
Much like the online speculations had suggested, AMD had been working on two new processors for its AM4 platform. In fact, the company quietly released the two Zen 3 CPUs - Ryzen 5 5600T and 5600XT - and now they are listed on Amazon for sale.
The Ryzen 5 5600T comes with 6 cores and 12 threads, and offers base and boost clock speeds of 3.7 GHz and 4.5 GHz respectively. Compared to the Ryzen 5600 CPU that features the same core count, the new CPU offers a slightly higher clock speed. On Amazon, the Ryzen 5 5600T is listed for $186.58.
Next up, we have the Ryzen 5 5600XT, which also comes equipped with 6 cores and 12 threads. The processor can deliver up to 3.8 and 4.7 GHz base and boost clock speeds, which is slightly more than what the Ryzen 5 5600X can deliver. At the moment, the 5600XT has a price tag of $194.02 on Amazon. Both processors comes with a TDP of 65W and feature an L3 cache of 32MB.
In case you missed it, AMD released the Ryzen 9000 series desktop processors in August of this year. Along with the Zen 5 processors, AMD also rolled out the X870 and X870E motherboards with the new AM5 socket. Further, the Team Red is also gearing up to release 9000X3D CPUs, which will be the latest addition to the X3D series.
