7-inch monitor for $11: Secondary HDMI display for PC or Raspberry Pi 5 is incredibly cheap

A compact display is currently available at a particularly low price. Specifically, a 7-inch display can be ordered from AliExpress for $11 plus shipping and potential import fees for international buyers. There is a catch, but it is mostly a formal one, as this price is only available to new customers. That said, AliExpress does not thoroughly check whether a second account has been created, so in practice the offer is available to all customers. The display is also available with touch functionality for an extra charge.
To be clear, this is not a typical desktop monitor. However, it could be well suited for use with a Raspberry Pi 5, for example. It is also conceivable to use this monitor as a secondary PC or laptop screen that shows chats, system parameters or social media at all times. The screen is very easy to connect, as it uses HDMI rather than DSI. Accordingly, it could be used with a desktop PC just as well as with a single-board computer like the aforementioned Raspberry Pi 5.
In any case, the resolution is 1024 x 600 pixels. Due to the small screen diagonal, the image should still appear reasonably sharp. The backlight can be adjusted and even switched off entirely, although that is likely to make sense only in specific use cases. Last but not least, this is a TN panel, so buyers should not have particularly high expectations in terms of color reproduction or viewing angles.
