Deal | 65-inch Hisense U6K Mini-LED TV gets first notable discount

The Chinese company Hisense arguably offers some of the best price-performance ratios in the TV market, even brand-new Mini-LED sets such as the U6K are rather reasonably priced in comparison to the hefty list prices that the big three brands in this segment are charging for their latest and greatest products upon release. Therefore, a first sale on the aforementioned television already results in a pretty enticing price.

To be exact, Best Buy is already granting a US$150 discount on the 65-inch Hisense U6K, which shaves about 19 percent off the TV's official MSRP and results in the lowest deal price that we have seen so far. Unlike the most affordable screen from the last model year, Hisense has given its wallet-friendly U6 line a noticeable upgrade for 2023 as these TV sets now feature a Mini-LED backlight that offers a peak HDR brightness of up to 600 nits according to the manufacturer's spec sheet.

Aside from the higher brightness, bargain hunters are still looking at a rather basic 60Hz IPS panel that should sport great viewing angles, but its contrast ratio certainly can't compete against the much more vibrant OLED competition. The limitation to 60Hz also means that the Hisense U6K does not support HDMI 2.1, which means that gamers with a current-gen console should probably chose a different display. However, regular TV users who are looking for a cheap 65-inch Mini-LED TV with Dolby Vision and a decent HDR performance may want to consider this deal.
