Deal | $635 discount: GeForce RTX 5070 Shadow 2X and 8 TB WD SN850X SSD combo gets massive price cut

GPU prices have stayed well above MSRP for over half a decade now, thanks to limited supply and ever-increasing demand, and are unlikely to drop anytime soon. The AI hype machine squeezing DRAM and NAND flash supply has made things even worse for consumers, driving up RAM and storage prices by unfathomable amounts.
However, attractive deals do appear on the inter webs quite frequently, providing lucky gamers with some respite from skyrocketing prices. For instance, Newegg is currently offering a combo offer consisting of an MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Shadow 2X OC gaming GPU along with an 8 TB WD SN850X SSD for just $1,365, indicating a massive $465 discount considering current market prices.
Newegg discounts high-capacity SSD with powerful desktop GPU combo
The WD SN850X PCIe Gen 4 SSD alone costs around $1,180 on Amazon right now, which is quite shocking considering that the same module was available for just around $600 not that long ago. With speeds reaching 7,000 MB/s in sequential reads and 6,300 MB/s in sequential writes, the SSD is plenty fast for the vast majority of use cases, including, of course, gaming.
The MSI GeForce RTX 5070 2X OC, on the other hand, is currently retailing for around $650 on Newegg. Being a compact card with only two fans, temperatures may be one the higher side for folks who like to overclock. For gamers who prefer SFF builds or simply like compact GPUs in particular, the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Shadow 2X should not leave any room for major complaints.
It is unclear how long Newegg's combo deal will last, but interested buyers are definitely requested to be aware of the time-sensitive nature of such deals.
