Topaz Labs recently released version 1.3.7 of its Photo AI image sharpening software. Topaz Photo is a one-click solution for upscaling, noise removal, and blur reduction for photographers. Topaz Labs has released v1.3.7 at a 20% discount until June 16, and for a perpetual licence no less.

Topaz Labs's Photo AI is an AI-powered image enhancing software that gives photographers a leg-up by providing cleaner RAW images to work from, even if the shooting conditions or hardware limitations didn't allow for perfect framing, sharp edges, or smooth processing.

Until June 16, Topaz Labs's Photo AI is US$159, down from US$199. The cherry on top is that Topaz Labs doesn't sell a subscription, instead selling a perpetual licence with discounted version upgrades further down the line if needed.

Topaz Photo AI is particularly useful for photographers that typically shoot fast-moving action in low-light scenarios that force them to walk on a razor's edge to balance shutter speed and ISO. In situations like this, it's not uncommon to end up with a slightly noisier image than you'd like, or an image that doesn't completely freeze the motion, resulting in some motion blur.

Photographers that digitally re-frame stills will also benefit from Photo AI, since it can address the loss of detail and blur introduced by zooming in — Topaz Labs claims it can sharpen images that have been enlarged up to 600%, giving you a lot of creative freedom. There are also Photoshop and Lightroom plugins and batch processing capabilities to make Photo AI integrate with your workflow seamlessly.
