Xiaomi has fully unveiled the Xring O1, which is the company's latest in-house flagship SoC. Currently, it's powering two flagship devices: the Xiaomi 15S Pro and Pad 7 Ultra. Per the details shared during the launch, it seems that this new SoC has what it takes to compete against the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400.
However, Xiaomi won't take this competition to the global market now. The company has confirmed to Android Authority that the Xring O1-powered flagship phone and tablet will remain exclusive to China for now. That would mean that interested global users would currently need to resort to importing the Xiaomi 15S Pro and the Pad 7 Ultra from China.
This confirmation comes shortly after Xiaomi signed a long-term agreement with Qualcomm to launch high-end smartphones with Snapdragon chips. With this collab, the company has also shared that it will be the first to launch a flagship phone that packs the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite. All this suggests that global users won't be able to officially purchase flagship phones that Xring SoCs power anytime soon.
For those who are looking for details on Xring O1, Xiaomi shared that it features a 10-core configuration with two powerful Cortex-X925 cores. The SoC also has the Arm Immortalis-G925 MC16 GPU and MediaTek T800 Modem. Check out our launch coverage to learn more about the SoC.
