With Windows 11's shipping date right around the corner, Microsoft has turned its attention to next year's update. The company still has time to push out another Windows 11 21H2 build though, even if it only addresses two bugs from last week's build.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Programme is slowing down for devices on the Beta channel. This week, Microsoft has published Insider Preview Build 22000.184, which contains two fixes and a host of known issues. You can read about the known issues in the latest Windows Insider Blog post. Build 22000.184 addresses the following bugs for Windows 11:

  • Fixed an issue where the new learn more info in OOBE about Windows Hello wasn't translated for non-English languages.
  • Fixed an issue where a small set of languages were missing translations across the UI in Windows 11.

By contrast, this week's Dev channel build contains nearly 48 bugs, listed in a separate Insider Blog post. Additionally, Build 22454 features three changes and improvements compared with last week's build:

  • Right-clicking on Recycle Bin on the desktop now uses the new modern context menu.
  • Added an option when right clicking a network share in File Explorer to pin it to Quick Access without having to click Show more options.
  • We have begun releasing an updated version of the Korean IME with adjustments made based on Windows Insider feedback.

Microsoft is also aware of many issues with Build 22454. This is unsurprising though, because Build 22454 is a pre-release build (RS_PRERELEASE). In short, Dev channel builds no longer match the Windows 11 experience that Microsoft will ship on October 5. Builds from this branch will ship sometime in 2022.
