Many Microsoft 10 will go out of software support on October 14, 2025 with three options available to extend your experience, but they do not come free of charge.

Since its launch, Windows 10 has met the expectations of all its users and offered cutting-edge features. However, this service will be discontinued on October 14 to make way for its successor, Windows 11. But Microsoft is offering three plans to extend your experience with the current version while still receiving regular updates.

This is a real change that will affect millions of people. According to StatCounter, Windows 10 is still the most widely used version in the world, with 53% of computers running this software. And that's not all, because Microsoft is struggling to get people to switch to Windows 11, especially when you consider that technical restrictions are necessary to run this software. In other words, for some individuals, their computers will not be able to support this version.

However, as the October 14, 2025 deadline approaches, the publisher has decided to offer various solutions to users who are still unable to make a choice. As a result, the special Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, which was previously intended for businesses, will be extended to individuals. Specifically, for $30, you can enjoy an additional year of Windows 10 use. But beware, as there will be no further extensions, and you will have to make a choice when the deadline arrives. For professionals, the cost will be $61 per user.

Another option that may help you is to use Windows Backup. This will allow you to synchronize your data in the Microsoft cloud so that you can access the ESU program without spending any money.

Finally, you can also turn to the Microsoft Rewards program. This program allows users to earn points when they search on Bing, play Xbox games, or purchase software through the publisher's official store. In this case, you will be able to subscribe to this program for 1,000 reward points.

Thus, the switch to Windows 11 seems inevitable for everyone, even beyond October 14, 2025. And millions of people will have to make a choice to benefit from increased security on a daily basis.
