Water-cooled RedMagic 11 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 stars in official photos
Nubia is about to release its first gaming phone that's powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the RedMagic 11 Pro. The launch is set for October 17 in China, and ahead of this imminent debut, the company has showcased the flagship phone in new pictures.
Interestingly, this will also be the company's first water-cooled gaming phone. As the new photos reveal, the RedMagic 11 Pro will feature water channels, which will be visible on the transparent editions. It's unclear how much of a difference this water cooling setup will make on top of the active cooling solution, but this combo could keep the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 from throttling during intense loads.
The brand further shares that the active cooling fan rotates at 24,000 RPM, and even with the fan, the RedMagic 11 Pro has an IPX8 waterproof rating. This water-resistance rating is a noticeable step-up from the predecessor, which features an IP54 rating. While the other specs of the gaming phone are still under wraps, the photos reveal that the back will sport a 50 MP primary camera.
Speaking of the back, the rear camera setup has a different layout than the predecessor (10S Pro available on Amazon), but it appears to still have three cameras on the back. As for the front, like the last-gen flagship phone, the RedMagic 11 Pro sports a full-screen display, featuring an under-display camera.
Past reports have also suggested that the gaming phone will sport an 8,000 mAh battery and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. More official details about the RedMagic 11 Pro should emerge before the October 17, 2025, Chinese launch event.
