Urbanista's Copenhagen 2 earbuds offer up to 36 hours of playback and Bluetooth multipoint for $49

When it comes to earbuds, buyers are spoilt for choice with options available at every price point. Notwithstanding, new models keep getting announced, and the latest is the Urbanista Copenhagen 2, a pair of colorful earbuds with a price tag under $50.

Urbanista's new earbuds have a half-in-ear design like the AirPods 4 (curr. available on Amazon for $119), but they come in a clamshell charging case where they lie flat. The Urbanista Copenhagen 2 earbuds feature 12mm dynamic drivers and have support for the SBC codec. There are a total of four microphones (two of which are noise-reducing mics) on the earbuds for clear calls.

Unlike a variant of the AirPods 4 which has active noise cancellation, the Copenhagen 2 earbuds lack ANC. However, the earbuds do have three equalizer presets (Default, Bass Boost, and Treble Boost). Users will be able to switch between the three presets using the touch controls on the earbuds.

The earbuds have Bluetooth 5.4 and support for Bluetooth multipoint connection which allows them to be paired to two devices simultaneously. This feature can be activated via the earbuds or the charging case. They are also rated IPX4 for water resistance which makes them suitable for workouts.

The earbuds are compatible with Android and iOS, and have support for voice assistants. The Copenhagen 2 has a total battery life of 36 hours which is broken down into 7 hours in the earbuds and 29 hours in the charging case. The case has four LEDs in front to indicate battery level and charging status, and it charges via a USB-C port.  

The Copenhagen 2 earbuds are priced at $49, $20 less than their predecessor. Although the promo video for the earbuds shows there are four colors, the earbuds are available to buy in just three — Cloud White, Lavender Purple, and Midnight Black — on the official website.
