The Xiaomi Mi A2 has received a new update containing the November 2020 security patch. V11.0.17.0.QDIMIXM can be downloaded now as an OTA upgrade, or as recovery and fastboot ROMs.

Xiaomi has cut it fine with the latest security update for the Mi A2. In fact, the device is the first of Xiaomi's Android One portfolio to receive the November 2020 security patch, just five days before the end of the month. Xiaomi should be upgrading the Mi A2 Lite and Mi A3 should to the November security patch too, although it is unclear when.

The new update for the Mi A2 is called V11.0.17.0.QDIMIXM and is a 25.72 MB over-the-air (OTA) upgrade. According to the official changelog, Xiaomi has once again improved the stability of the Mi A2, while optimising its performance. As usual, Xiaomi is unspecific with what optimisations it has made, besides the inclusion of a new security patch.

Oddly, Xiaomi missed V11.0.16.0.QDIMIXM, jumping from V11.0.15.0.QDIMIXM to V11.0.17.0.QDIMIXM. There are no restrictions on downloading V11.0.17.0.QDIMIXM, but you can grab the recovery or fastboot zips via the links below should you wish to refresh your Mi A2. The links are to files hosted on Xiaomi's servers, for reference.
