Bandai Namco has revealed its action-packed Tekken 8 Season 2 roadmap at EVO Japan 2025. The upcoming update is headlined by the return of Fahkumram, multiple game updates, and pop culture collaborations, which are intended to rekindle player interest. The update comes at a time when player engagement has hit new lows, despite the recent debut of Anna Williams.
Fahkumram, the Muay Thai powerhouse who debited in Tekken 7, will join the Tekken 8 roster this summer as part of the Season 2 Character & Stage Pass. His arrival coincides with a wave of new content spread across three upcoming patches.
The Version 2.01 update arrives on May 13, which will introduce the free Tekken Ghost Showdown mode and two paid cosmetic packs - Cyber Phantom and Vigilante Tech. Then, version 2.02 lands on June 3, which is all set to bring in a Karate Kid: Legends collaboration with themed hoodies, a Vision Takeover feature, and classic costumes for Kuma, Panda, and Dragunov.
Later this summer, Version 2.03 will feature a Pac-Man crossover in celebration of the arcade icon’s 45th anniversary. This includes the new “Pac-Pixels” battle stage, a variety of cosmetic items like the Pac-Man Head and Ghost plushie, and new hit effects, which will all be a part of Fight Pass Round 6.
In addition to this, two more Season 2 characters are on the way - a returning fighter in Autumn and a new challenger in Winter 2025. All these updates will also include balance changes across the roster.
Tekken 8 is currently available on PlayStation 5 (curr. $39.99 on Amazon), Xbox Series X and S (curr. $35 on Amazon), and PC (via Steam).
