The TeamGroup T-Create Expert P34F, measuring 81 x 43 millimeters, is smaller than a credit card, albeit thicker, as the case has a height of 16.5 millimeters. The SSD is made of 73% metal, yet weighs only 70 grams. An integrated loop allows the SSD to be attached to a keychain.
The T-Create Expert P34F's unique feature is that, just like an Apple AirTag, the SSD can be located using Apple's "Find My?" app. As soon as an iPhone comes within Bluetooth range, the SSD's location is transmitted to its owner. While the SSD lacks an ultra-wideband chip, a built-in speaker can play a sound when the SSD is nearby to make it easier to locate.
Just like the Apple AirTag, TeamGroup installs a CR2032 battery to power the Bluetooth chip, which is expected to provide a battery life of around one year. The SSD connects to a computer via USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 and is said to reach read speeds of 1,000 MB/s and write speeds of 900 MB/s.
Price and availability
The TeamGroup T-Create Expert P34F will soon be available in capacities ranging from 512 GB to 2 TB. TeamGroup is yet to confirm the suggested retail price, but it is set to launch very soon. TeamGroup offers a three-year warranty on the SSD.
