Sharge's latest external SSD offers up to 4 TB of storage, capable of transferring data at speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s. A short USB-C cable is integrated into the SSD. A magnetic ring allows the SSD to be attached to MagSafe and Qi2-compatible smartphones such as the Apple iPhone 17.
A self-adhesive magnetic ring also allows the SSD to be mounted on the back of a gaming handheld or on the display lid of a laptop for convenient storage expansion on the go. The SSD features an integrated docking station that expands devices with two USB-A ports and one USB-C port. The latter supports chargers up to 100 watts, allowing connected handhelds and laptops to be charged via USB-C PD at up to 80 watts.
The HDMI 2.1 port supports a 4K monitor with a refresh rate of 144 Hz or an 8K screen with 60 Hz. It's curious that Sharge shows the external SSD on a Nintendo Switch 2 in a promotional image, even though Nintendo's hybrid console doesn't support external storage via USB-C, but at least the HDMI port should work. The integrated fan is designed to cool the dock and the SSD to maintain high transfer rates under continuous load.
Price and availability
