Overall this is exactly the kind of machine I would love to have, if the cons I listed were changed that would be great however to put it in perspective, the unit staying relatively cool is almost certainly a result of engineering the ports to their locations, this also affects the noisiness, knowing that heat is the enemy I willingly accept these tradeoffs to have a machine which will still be running two or more years from now because it manages heat better than anything else I have ever used. The screen is big and awesome, I cant get over how nice it looks and how much more stuff I can see at once on it, I cant wait to get my new 24" ELO to pair them up. I already hooked it up to my big screen and its beyond awesome.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M:
The GeForce GTX 280M is based on the G92b chip with all 128 pipelines and, as a result, shares more similarities to the desktop 9800 GTX+ than the desktop GTX 280. Regardless, the high clock rate makes the GTX 280M considerably faster than the 9800M GTX.
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

Intel Core 2 Extreme: The fastest Core 2 Duo variants of Intel are called Core 2 Extreme. Technically, these processors are based on a Merom/Penryn (X9000) core like all other Core 2 Duo processors, too.
QX9300: Expensive mobile Quad Core CPU with a free multiplicator and a TDP of 45 Watt. Due to the large Level 2 cache and the 2.5 GHz the CPU offers a good performance for single and multithreaded applications.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
17.0": Meanwhile the 17 inch display size is a more frequently offered standard format for desktop-replacements. The DTR-laptops can't be carried easily, need much energy but on the other side texts can be read easily and high resolutions are no problem. DTR mainly are intended for stationary usage on desks, where the weight and the energy need are unimportant.

3.8 kg: This laptop is heavy below average, compared with the average of notebooks. Therefore especially desktop replacements fit in this class of weight.
Sager: Sager Midern Computer, Inc., is an OEM computer manufacturer specializing in laptop computers. The company is generally publicly referred to as Sager Notebook Computer. Sager, for short, is publicly recognizable for its high end gaming laptops. However, Sager offers a wide variety of services, including solutions for mobile gaming, video editing, and business applications. In addition to selling physical hardware, Sager also offers complete support and repair services for all Clevo based Laptops.
