Archive.org versionThe Falcon Northwest FragBook DRX is a 17-inch desktop replacement that can be painted virtually any color. Equipped with a powerful Intel Core i7-950 quad-core desktop processor, the FragBook DRX is quite fast, yet very heavy at 12.1 pounds. Unfortunately, the video card is a midrange model and the hard drive is way too small to command Falcon Northwest's $3,433 asking price.

Archive.org versionIf you're shopping for a Falcon Northwest gaming laptop, there's no middle ground: Either go for broke or leave the website. Consider the Fragbook DRX ($6,449 direct, starting prices around $4,000); the money you'll have spent by the time you trick it out could avert several foreclosures. This 12-pound tank is one of only a handful of boutique laptops that have enough cooling fans to run a 3.33-GHz, Intel Core i7 975 processor—the top-of-the-line desktop processor, no less. The Falcon Northwest Fragbook DRX gaming laptop is priced out of this earth, and its performance numbers—earth-shattering.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M:
The GeForce GTX 280M is based on the G92b chip with all 128 pipelines and, as a result, shares more similarities to the desktop 9800 GTX+ than the desktop GTX 280. Regardless, the high clock rate makes the GTX 280M considerably faster than the 9800M GTX.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
