Rotwild has officially launched the R.EX, a next-gen electric mountain bike built around precision engineering and performance-focused design. Unveiled today, the R.EX features the powerful DJI Avinox M1 mid-drive motor paired with Rotwild's own IPU Gen4 battery system.
The R.EX is based on a revised frame derived from Rotwild’s race-proven R.EXC, using hand-built Poly Dynamic Carbon with high-modulus fibers. The elevated box frame design houses a lightweight 864Wh IPU Gen4 battery and a 105Nm torque-rated Avinox motor, with up to 120Nm available in Boost mode. The weight for the complete system comes in at 3,580g. The bike uses a mullet wheel setup (29” front, 27.5” rear), with160mm travel up front and 150mm at the rear.
Key hardware features include the new Eightpins NGS3.0 dropper post, a mid-high pivot suspension layout for improved traction and suspension balance, and tool mounts built into the underside of the top tube. The R.EX supports geometry adjustments via a new angle headset (+/- 0.5°) and variable reach by +/- 5mm.
The Avinox system integrates a 2” OLED display, Bluetooth 5.1, ANT+, and LTE for OTA updates and navigation. Sensor fusion and real-time adjustment help the motor adapt to rider input for a smoother and more controlled experience. The display and remote operate without cables, and the motor is fully enclosed within the bike's design concept.
Pricing starts at €8,990 for the Core model, rising to €12,490 for the Ultra edition. Sizes available include M, L, and XL, with three trim levels: Core, Pro, and Ultra.
